Epidemiology 

The epidemiology department at the Department of Health in Lafayette County investigates and monitors communicable diseases in the county. Our epidemiology nurse is trained to assess, evaluate and monitor communicable disease reports to help prevent epidemics.

Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD)

The Florida Department of Health in Lafayette County has trained nurses and doctors to examine, diagnose and treat men and women with STD infections. Early diagnosis and treatment is important and decreases the risk for complications.

Tuberculosis (TB) 

Tuberculosis is a disease caused by germs that are spread from person to person through the air. The germs are spread in the air when a person with active TB coughs, sneezes, talks or sings. TB testing and treatment is available at DOH - Lafayette.
