Tuberculosis is a disease caused by germs that are spread from person to person through the air. The germs are spread in the air when a person with active TB coughs, sneezes, talks, or sings. TB testing and treatment is available at the Florida Department of Health in Lafayette County.
A nurse is available Monday – Friday to take reports of communicable diseases. An after-hours nurse is available to take reports nights and weekends.
